AJ concentrates his practice in intellectual property, with extensive experience prosecuting, litigating and licensing utility patents. In addition, he is adept at negotiating and drafting research and collaboration agreements, non-disclosure agreements, patent purchase contracts, patent assignments and material transfer agreements for Fortune 100 companies and large universities.

AJ has also advised and assisted clients in all aspects of trademark prosecution, including conducting comprehensive trademark searches, drafting and filing trademark applications and responding to USPTO Office Actions. Prior to joining GCT, he worked as an attorney for a Chicago-based IP litigation and prosecution firm.

AJ earned his J.D. at the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he served as the IP Law Society President, was an American IP Law Association Representative and a Giles Rich IP Moot Court Competitor.
