GCT is pleased to announce the appointment of Derek D. Samz as chair of the firm’s Reorganization & Bankruptcy practice group and Nichole M.F. Siedlarczyk as chair of the firm’s Corporate practice group. 

GCT’s Reorganization & Bankruptcy practice group represents clients in all phases of financial reorganizations and debt resolutions and regularly engage in bankruptcy proceedings nationwide. Derek is experienced in all aspects of Chapter 7, 13 and 11 petitions and procedures and has both asserted and defended adversary proceedings, objections to discharge and claim proceedings.  

The Corporate practice group works to guide clients on the opportunities and hurdles that surface during business formation and succession planning. The team provides proactive solutions for day-to-day business operations and aid clients on capital structure, contracting and licensing, financing, stock or other ownership options and tax planning. Nichole’s practice focuses on corporate governance, outside counsel work, mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate. She works closely with general counsels, closely held businesses and entrepreneurs to alleviate the legal pains and strains associated with starting, maintaining, growing and selling a business.
