Golan Christie Taglia Celebrates 30th Anniversary
Golan Christie Taglia is proud to celebrate 30 years of legal excellence. As we reflect on the past three decades of service, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our attorneys, staff, families and our loyal clients. From our firm’s inception, our mission has remained the same: delivering successful outcomes while prioritizing top-tier legal representation and personalized attention for our clients.
Beginnings
Golan Christie Taglia began on October 1, 1993, when Founding Partner Stephen Golan decided to open the doors of opportunity and launch a new firm. Steve opened the firm with the desire to provide excellent service to middle-market clients, as the need for legal services in the middle market was growing in the Chicago area.
Growth and Change
1995 began a period of growth for GCT, as Margaret Christie joined as a partner and work picked up speed. Current managing partner, Tony Taglia, joined GCT as an Associate in 1999 and was soon made Partner in 2002. The other current members of the Executive Committee, Peggy Gisch and Darrin Baim, joined in in 1995 and 2000, respectively.
GCT’s success and growth didn’t come without its share of challenges, like adjusting to rapid changes in technology with the advent of the internet and most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these challenges, GCT is proud to have not only persevered but also emerged stronger and more resilient than ever before, setting an example of adaptability, growth and excellence in the legal industry.
Future
Looking back at the past 30 years, Steve notes that he’s most proud of “the excellent representation we’ve given to our clients, always putting their interests first, the growth of the firm, our professional reputation, building what is becoming more unique…a boutique firm providing superior legal services at an appropriate cost.”
"I envision a future for our firm characterized by strategic growth, a commitment to excellence and innovation and an unwavering devotion to delivering unparalleled legal services,” said Tony Taglia, GCT’s managing partner. “GCT is truly a collaborative place, and my goal is to continue to grow our practice and GCT family into the next generation law firm.
As we keep an eye toward the future, we look forward to providing superior client service for the next three decades, and beyond. Thank you, all, for being a part of our journey.
