GCT is proud to announce Benjamin D. Rotman has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Intellectual Property Group.

Ben focuses his practice on developing patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret strategies for businesses and individuals, portfolio development and management, anti-counterfeiting enforcement, internet domain disputes and enforcement actions.

Ben has extensive firsthand experience with intellectual property matters. Prior to his legal career, Ben served as Senior Mechanical Engineer at Motorola Mobility where he worked with engineering teams to develop cutting-edge products. This experience adds a unique perspective to his work with engineers, investors and other internal teams.

Ben’s commitment to developing his practice goes beyond his clients. He is also an active member in multiple pro-bono communities including the Chicago-Kent Patent Hub, where he serves as a Board Member, and the Lawyers for the Creative Arts, where he volunteers his services and experience to benefit the arts community. His pro-bono efforts and contributions have been honored by the USPTO.

Ben’s unique approach to intellectual property law has led to his selection in the Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers for two consecutive years.
