This week’s IP Blawg brings up the issue of copyrighting the importance of accuracy in an application to register a copyright. In it, Beverly A. Berneman examines the case Nwosuocha v. Glover, which involves Emelike Nwosuocha, a/k/a Kidd Wes, and Donald Glover. In 2017, Kidd Wes wrote and published a song titled “Made in America.” The following year, Donald Glover, a/k/a Childish Gambino, released “This is America.” The subsequent years proved troublesome for Kidd Wes as he tried to fight Childish Gambino for copyright infringement.
