Employee Harassment Prevention Training

To learn more about other services offered by our employment attorneys, please go to the Employment Law page.

Every employer with employees working in the State of Illinois is required to provide all employees with sexual harassment prevention training that complies with Section 2-109 of the Illinois Human Rights Act ("IHRA"). Employers may develop their own sexual harassment prevention training program that equals or exceeds the minimum standards for sexual harassment prevention training outlined in Section 2-109(B) of the IHRA, or may use the model sexual harassment prevention training developed by the Illinois Department of Human Rights ("IDHR"). In addition to the training required under Section 2-109, restaurants and bars are also required to provide supplemental sexual harassment prevention training that complies with Section 2-110 of the IHRA. Employers who do not comply are subject to fines from the Illinois Human Rights Commission.

Golan Christie Taglia can provide harassment prevention training to your employees and has limited appointments available before the deadline.

The employment attorneys at Golan Christie Taglia are excited to work with you to create a customized training program that is right for your workforce. For eligible new clients, we can offer flat fee trainings at a rate of $30 per employee.

If your business or your employees are located in the state of Illinois, this training is now mandatory for all employees on an annual basis. To be in compliance for 2020, the training must be completed before December 31, 2020.
