GCT Celebrates Juneteenth

Standing with communities around the country in commemoration of the abolition of slavery in the United States, Golan Christie Taglia is proud to celebrate Juneteenth. In observance of the holiday and in keeping with our commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, the firm held a day of service where attorneys and staff members spent the day volunteering with Big Shoulders Fund at St. Catherine/St. Lucy School in Oak Park, Illinois.

By supporting Chicago-area schools, Big Shoulders Fund helps children in need achieve their dreams by providing a quality, values-based education.

In addition to engaging in community service, GCT’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee meets regularly to discuss diversity, inherent and unconscious bias, the importance of language in the workplace and to create proactive measures the firm can take to remain dedicated to its commitment to diversity. The Committee has also initiated firmwide training programs on topics including diversity education, transgender and gender non-conforming awareness and acceptance, civility training, cultural competency training and creating an inclusive workplace.
