GCT’s Property Tax Practice Group Achieves Significant Six Figure Tax Reduction for Client
Brianna L. Golan and Donald T. Rubin recently secured a significant tax reduction for their client whose assessed property value significantly increased in 2022 despite having demolished the building on the property.
Near the end of 2021, Brianna and Don’s client demolished its industrial building as it was no longer in use and was in need of repair. This resulted in the property consisting of over 92,000 square feet of vacant land. However, the Cook County Assessor increased the proposed assessed value by 28% for the following tax year. On behalf of their client, Brianna and Donald achieved an estimated six-figure property tax reduction.
