Granting a New Class 6B Incentive Yields $9.4M Tax Savings

CHALLENGE:
To navigate a large industrial client through a complex legal process including property tax, land annexation and re-zoning issues.

OUR STRATEGY:
To demonstrate the importance of the company to the local economy in order to convince the Village Board to support a rare extension of an expiring Class 6B Property Tax Incentive and to grant an entirely new Class 6B Incentive for construction of a large addition.

RESULTS:
Incentives, zoning and annexation requests all approved. Total projected property tax savings over the term of the incentive period is estimated at $9.4 million.
